It was recently disclosed that hundreds of tons of unauthorized genetically modified organisms (GMOs) - maize seeds with the protein Bt10 -  have mistakingly been sold to US farmers by the Swiss agribusiness giant Syngenta, since 2001. As a result, it is estimated that 1000 metric tons of food and feed products containing Bt10 may have entered the EU. And it will probably further aggravate the long running US and EU biotech trade disputes.
